Since 2002, when it was founded, Purex has been engaged in the production, processing and distribution of chicken and turkey meat. An honest, correct and healthy way of producing meat is the greatest specialty and competitive advantage. Purex bases its values on animal welfare, natural processes and animal nutrition, which excludes toxic additives common in industrial meat production such as antibiotics, hormones and antiparasitic. The company Purex d.o.o., based in Hrvace, has poultry farms in the wider Sinj area, and in Hrvace there is a plant where meat is processed and prepared for sale. Purex sells its products mostly through its own retail chain that covers the wider Zagreb area, as well as the area of Split and its surroundings.
