1v1 Battle is a competitive dance discipline often represented at popularly called underground dance events. It is conceived in such a way that a dancer competes against a dancer. They are located on opposite sides of the dance floor. A DJ (disc jockey - a person in charge of playing music) plays music of his choice, which in this case must be in the hip hop genre in the range of 80-115 BPM (beats per minute). It is not specified which of the dancers starts his exit first, so either of the two can start first according to his wishes, or if neither of them dared to start, then a quick method determines who will start. Most often, a bottle is spun on the podium (or some similar object that can be used for this purpose) and on which side its top stops, that person is the first to start his exit, i.e. dance on the dance floor.

The contestant's dance performance lasts from 45 sec to 1 min (the maximum time of the dance exit is determined by the organizer). After the first dancer finishes his exit or his time expires, his opponent comes out on the dance floor, and responds to his exit with his exit under the same conditions (same music, same max duration of the exit). Dancers are allowed to provoke each other through dance, which excludes verbal and gestural offensive moments and physical contact. In this way, one gets the impression that the dance floor is a battlefield, and the dancers are warriors, which is why it is called "battle", i.e. battle. After the first round is completed (one dance exit on each side), the judges decide who is the winner. The judges are adequate dancers and connoisseurs of hip hop culture chosen by the organizer. Most often, there are 3 judges in the judging committee, but this number can also vary depending on the decisions of the organizers. The judges ask the dancers to show the best of themselves in their dance performances under the conditions of the category in which they compete. In this case, this means that they use dance moves and steps to the rhythm of the music that represent the hip hop dance style. The dancer can also insert elements of other dance styles, which can enrich but also impoverish his pleasurable output, i.e. positively or negatively influence the decision of the judges on his exit. The judges on the MC's (Master of Ceremony) sign, mostly point with their hands in the direction of the dancer they personally think was better in battle. Depending on which dancer has the most votes from the judges (to whom the most hands are directed), that dancer wins. The result can also be tied if the judges place their hands in the sign of the letter "X" or if both dancers received equal votes. Then the dancers have the right to another exit, each after which the judges must decide. The number of dance outputs within one dance battle increases from round to round according to the choice of the organizer, in this case: Qualifications – they are danced at the beginning so that dance couples can be agreed, i.e. who will compete against whom. Registered competitors dance the way of the judges for half a minute each.
Top 8 – 1 exit per dancer
Semi-finals – 2 exits per dancer (music changes after the 1st round)
Finals – 3 performances per dancer (music changes after the 1st and 2nd rounds)
