Mall of Split became the holder of the prestigious LEED Platinum certificate , the highest international award for sustainable construction, energy efficiency and facility management. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certificate proves that the center meets strict global criteria in the use of energy and water, air quality, the use of environmentally friendly materials and innovative solutions.

Environmental sustainability is the foundation of Mall of Split's business philosophy. The center continuously implements measures that reduce its ecological footprint and encourage responsible behavior among visitors and tenants.

Sustainability in action

Platinum certification is the result of carefully planned and interconnected sustainability practices, including:

1. Sustainable mobility:
   Mall of Split is easily accessible by public transport, has eight charging stations for electric vehicles and specially marked bicycle parking spaces.
2. Water saving:
   Rainwater is collected and reused for flushing toilets and irrigating outdoor greenery, which significantly reduces water consumption.
3. Energy efficiency:
   The building is designed to maximize natural daylight through large glass surfaces and skylights. Low-energy LED lighting is used throughout the shopping center, including the facade.

Among the green infrastructure facilities, we highlight:

1. Two charging stations for electric vehicles : which allow for easy charging of vehicles while shopping - Petrol charging station on level –2 (Marjan Square) and Electrip charging station on level +3 (Pjaca)
2. A container for recycling clothes and shoes where used items are purchased and recycled, thereby contributing to the reduction of textile waste. Containers are located in the garage on floor -1
3. Pet friendly concept : Mall of Split is open to pets. The central ZOO Mall is also where you can buy everything for pets, as well as arrange haircutting, washing and grooming services for your favorite pets.

Additionally, every Saturday, the Eco Market on the ground floor of the center gathers local certified producers from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., offering fresh, organically grown fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seedlings. During the Eco Market, visitors are offered the opportunity to pre-order their eco basket, which will then be ready for them on the ground floor of the center with all the products in one place.
